Many people have asked me over the course of the last year, ‘So what is the Model Home Project all about anyway?’  It’s easy to pick up the tone of skepticism in their voices when asking this question; the idea of some of the most successful models in the world coming  together to work, raise money, and serve people that have needs, to  some seems more like a gimmick than a viable way to help the hurting.  What MHP is, and what it will always stand for, is the  simple act of looking around at what you’ve been given, and finding a way to open your hands and your heart to someone else.  This is not simply about raising money, this is not simply about raising awareness; this is about giving back in truest form, in a way that requires time, effort, investment, and love.  I tip my hat to the many individuals that have come along side of this project over the past year - this includes models, agencies, fashion companies, photographers, and designers, all of whom have been struck by the simplicity and captivating quality of putting your hands to something in unity, when so much of our lives are based around competition.  I can assure anyone who follows this project, that the redeeming quality of love, applied to action, will be the lasting legacy of all we do.  Is there anything better to throw your time and resources into?  This is a great journey, and we’ve only just begun.
